How to enter the competition?

By completing Grafton Recruitment's (hereafter referred to as the Organiser) questionnaire in full at this link (hereafter referred to as the Link).

When does the competition run?

The competition runs from 2 January 2023 from 10.00am to 1 March 2023 at 2.00pm.

 

Who will win?

One survey participant will win with their guess of "Guess how many people will fill out this survey." (hereafter referred to as the Guessing Question) closest to the resulting number. In the event that there are multiple identical answers that are closest, the person whose answer came first wins.

Length of competition

Only those questionnaires that are completed by the deadline will be included in the competition

from 2.1.2023 10.00 a.m. to 1.3.2023 2.00 p.m.

 

Conditions for participation

Participants are invited to enter the competition by submitting the following information on this website:

by completing the full questionnaire. One survey participant who comes closest to the correct answer with the guessing question will win. Only one person can win one prize. The questionnaire can only be completed once. In order to participate in the contest and to be contacted if you win, you must fill in your contact information. The organiser reserves the right to change the rules of the competition at any time or to terminate the competition.

Prize

The 1 person whose guess is closest to the correct result and with a fully completed questionnaire will win 1x Pocketbook 740 Inkpad 3 Pro e-reader. The winner has no right to exchange the prize or to receive the value of the prize in the form of cash or other compensation.

Winner

The winner will be the one person who comes closest to the correct result with the guessing question. This person must have completely filled out the questionnaire by the time the contest closes on March 1, 2023 by 2 p.m.

 Notification and handover of the prize

The contact details provided by entrants on the completed competition form will be used for notification of the prize. The winner will be notified by e-mail by 31.3.2023 at the latest. The prize will be handed over in person at one of our branches by 30.4.2023.

Method of handing over the prize

The prize will be handed over to the winner in person at one of our branches. If the winner does not respond to the prize notification within 10 days of being contacted, his/her prize will belong to the Promoter.

1. INTRODUCTORY PROVISIONS

1.1.

The purpose of these general competition terms and conditions ("Competition Terms and Conditions") is to set out the binding rules under which the competition will be conducted on this website.

1.2.

The Promoter's relationship with the Contestant is governed by these Competition Terms and Conditions, unless otherwise provided for in the specific Competition Terms and Conditions or the Competition Notice posted on the Promoter's web servers.

2. DEFINITION OF TERMS USED

2.1.

The Organiser is Grafton Slovakia, s. r. o., with registered office at Obchodná 507/2, 811 01 Bratislava, ID No.: 46113282, VAT No.: SK2023250746, VAT No.: 2023250746, registered in the Commercial Register at the District Court Bratislava I, Section Sro, Insert No.: 72641/B (hereinafter referred to as the "Organiser").

2.2.

The Organiser will inform about the competition via direct mailing, on its website and on the social network Facebook. The Facebook server is a social network located on the servers www.facebook.com or on the original applications (Facebook). The Organiser's web server is: www.grafton.sk (hereinafter referred to as the "Server") and the email address list is the sole property of the Organiser.

2.3.

A Contestant is any person who answers the questionnaire located at this address at the time of the ongoing Contest and who simultaneously answers the Contest question.

2.4.

A Contestant is a User who participates in the Contest announced by the Organizer.

2.5.

The winner of the Contest is the User whose guess to the Contest question is the most correct and who at the same time fulfils the Contest conditions. In the event that there are multiple equally correct answers to the competition question, the winner will be the contestant who completed the questionnaire including the competition prize first. The winner will be announced after the contest ends.

2.6.

The announcement of the competition shall be deemed to be the competition announcement published by the Promoter on the relevant Server and shall be governed by these Competition Terms and Conditions.

2.7.

The start of the Competition shall be the date marked as the start of the Competition in the Competition announcement.

2.8.

The end of the Competition shall be the date marked as the end of the Competition in the Competition announcement.

3. GENERAL RULES

3.1.

The Contest is open to all registered users who agree to these Contest Terms and Conditions, excluding employees and associates of the Promoter and their family members.

3.2.

The Contest is also open to natural persons who are not permanent residents of the Slovak Republic.

3.3.

Persons who do not agree to these Competition Terms and Conditions may not participate in the Competition.

3.4.

The Contest is deemed to have started when it is announced on the Organizer's Server.

The Contestant enters the Contest by completing the questionnaire located at the following address:

3.6.

The prize will be handed over by the Promoter no later than 30.4.2023, in person at one of the Promoter's branch addresses. This fulfils the obligation to hand over the prize to the winner. The Winner is not entitled to exchange the prize or to payment of its value in the form of monetary or other compensation.

3.7.

There is no guarantee for the prize. The Organiser is also not liable for any defects or damages to the prize from the moment it is handed over to the winner. This fact is acknowledged by each competitor.

3.8.

The prize is not enforceable in court.

4. RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF THE CONTESTANT

4.1.

The Contestant declares that he/she enters the Contest voluntarily.

4.2.

The Contestant is obliged to provide the Promoter with completely truthful contact details which are important for the prize to be handed over.

4.3.

The Contestant who has become a winner is obliged to respond to the Organiser's call within 10 days. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the prize.

4.4.

Communication from the Organiser will be by e-mail, i.e. by sending an e-mail to the address provided by the contestant in the questionnaire.

4.5.

In the event that the winner does not respond to the call within 10 days, the winner will be the contestant who ranked second in the order of the correctness of the answer to the contest question.

4.6.

The Contestant is obliged to behave in such a way as not to violate the applicable laws of the Slovak Republic and not to cause any harm to the Organizer or other Contestants by his/her actions.

5. RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF THE ORGANISER

5.1.

The Promoter is obliged to inform the Winner of the fact that he/she has become a Winner by 10.7.2020 via the e-mail address provided by the Winner in the questionnaire.

5.2.

The Promoter shall fulfil its obligation to deliver the prize to the Winner by handing it over in person at one of the Promoter's branches.

5.3.

The Promoter shall not be liable for any damages that the prize may cause to the winner or other persons who come into contact with the prize.

5.4.

The Organiser reserves the right to suspend, modify or terminate the competition without giving any reason in the event of serious, unexpected events. In such a case, the contestant is not entitled to any compensation or settlement.

5.5.

The Organiser shall not be liable for any damages caused by system and software failures that are not caused by the Organiser's intentional actions. In such event, the Promoter reserves the right to suspend, modify or terminate the competition without giving any reason. The competitor shall not be entitled to any compensation or settlement.

 

6. PERSONAL DATA

6.1.

Data obtained from the Contestant that directly or indirectly identifies him/her is considered personal and is subject to protection under Act No. 18/2018 Coll. No. 2016/679/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of the EU on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (hereinafter referred to as "GDPR"). The Organiser, as the controller, processes personal data to the extent provided by the entrants when completing the questionnaire on the basis of Article 6(2)(b) of the GDPR. The personal data will be processed for the purpose of the organisation of the competition and the awarding of the prize.  The provision of personal data is voluntary. However, if the entrant does not provide personal data, he/she will not be able to be entered into the competition, as without providing personal data he/she will not be identifiable and it will not be possible to hand over the prize to him/her in the event of winning the prize. Contestants' personal data will be processed for the duration of the contest and, in the case of the winner, for the period during which the rights to claim the prize can be exercised,

6.2.

The Promoter does not carry out fully automated decision-making, including profiling. The Promoter undertakes that the personal data of the contestants will not be passed on to any third party. Personal data is not and will not be transferred to third countries or international organisations.

6.3.

The contestants and the winner as data subjects have the following rights:

the right of access to personal data - the right to request confirmation as to whether personal data is processed by the Promoter and, if so, the right to obtain access to that personal data and certain information about how it is processed.
Right to rectification - the data subject has the right to have inaccurate personal data relating to him or her rectified by the Organiser without undue delay.
Right to erasure - the data subject may request the erasure of the data processed about him or her by the controller. However, there are situations where the obligation to process personal data (i) is required by law, (ii) is necessary for archiving purposes or (iii) for the exercise of legal claims. In such cases, the request for erasure of personal data cannot be granted.
Right to object to processing - where the processing of personal data by the Organiser is based on the legitimate interest of the controller (and not on any other ground for processing) or relates to direct marketing, the data subject has the right to object to the processing of personal data
If the data subject wishes to exercise any of his or her rights, he or she may do so by sending an e-mail to info@grafton.sk

The data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority.

The data subject may address any questions concerning this privacy notice to the controller, either in writing at the address of the controller's registered office or by sending an e-mail to info@grafton.sk

 

7. FINAL PROVISIONS

7.1.

These Competition Terms and Conditions are made in accordance with the applicable laws and other legal regulations of the Slovak Republic. By participating in the Competition, the Contestant confirms that he/she has been demonstrably acquainted with them and undertakes to abide by them.

7.2.

The Organiser reserves the right to amend these Competition Terms and Conditions. In this case, the Organiser will announce the changes by means of a notice on its Servers.

7.3.

These Competition Terms and Conditions are valid from 2.1.2023.

Pursuant to Act No. 30/2019 Coll. 30/30/2012 on Gambling and on Amendments and Additions to Certain Acts, as amended, the Contest is not considered to be a gambling game, as it is a promotional contest for the purpose of promoting the business activities of the Organizer and payment of the deposit is not a condition for participation in the Contest.
