Popis práce

The CAD PLM Support Engineer will be responsible for the daily 2nd level support of PLM, Catia/NX and other engineering applications. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering applications and strong customer focus to support the user community. The support engineer will work in a global environment as part of the IT Operations 2nd level application support team with a regional focus on EMEA. The 1st level is established by a service desk, which handles the user requests based on ticketing system. And the 3rd level support will accept escalations for complex incident or requests from the 2nd level team. The 2nd level team is working in a follow the sun environment with a personal regional focus. In addition to the internal YFI 2nd level team, the support engineer will work with and coordinate the work of an external support team and the vendor.

  • Provide daily application support to local and remote users of Siemens Teamcenter, CATIA, NX, as required
  • Work to achieve assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies; work is reviewed by management to measure degree of meeting objectives
  • Assist the end user population with questions, problems and related issues
  • Test and implement Dassault & Siemens software releases/upgrades (Catia, NX, Teamcenter, VisView, etc.)
  • Gather data to support engineering and PLM activities
  • Provide input into future software functionality, implementation methodology, and customization standards
  • Create scope documents, functional specifications, and test plans
  • Participate in projects with other IT departments and/or external vendors
  • Perform other related duties as required to develop and drive the business forward
Požiadavky
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Catia and NX experience
  • Experience with supporting Teamcenter PLM, NX and Catia integration (TCIC),
  • Teamcenter workflow support experience
  • Experience with supporting, testing, deploying, and documenting NX, Catia and Catia Integration with Teamcenter
  • Ability to work across multiple sites scattered geographically and limited travel is also required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with Windows client and server platform
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • High communication skills required at all levels. Excellent command of verbal and written communication (English).
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic ITIL certification
