Job description

Responsibility for strategic purchasing of direct components and materials for all plants within Group
Non ferrous alloys + scrap metal in bulk for foundry
Titanium, Aluminum & Steel bar material for machining and forging
Steel, Alu and Titanium forgings
Independently conducting price and contract negotiations with suppliers
Leading commercial and technical saving projects from purchasing point of view
Preparing and placing enquiries with potential suppliers,
Close cooperation with Production and Supply Chain Management across all Booster Group sites
Participation in new product projects and corresponding representation of purchasing concerns
Regular market analyses and identification of optimisation potential for the purchasing department
Regular reporting to management on savings projects and sales to purchase delta on purchased raw materials
Supplier management (delivery discipline, quality escalations, COPQ extraction support, payment discrepencies resolution as dunning)
Creation and maintenance of supplier master data, creation & maintenance of purchase orders in SAP

Requirements

Completed commercial or technical studies
Experience with procurement of steel and non-ferrous materials a major advantage
Experience with procurement of forgings & castings welcome
Several years of experience in strategic purchasing with a technical focus
Technical affinity
Initial experience in project management
Confident handling of MS Office programs
Flexibility, assertiveness and strong communication skills
Structured, result-oriented and independent way of working
Fluent English and German
Ability to travel on a regular basis within Europe
Experience with SAP welcome
