CAPEX BUYER

Responsible for investment projects in the company. Deals with suppliers, investors and other stakeholders in investment projects. Is usually responsible for preparing contractual relationships, often involved in the complaint proceedings.

Forklift Driver

Responsible for activities related to storage of goods and handling material/goods using a forklift. Keeps the relevant warehouse records and checks that the material/goods being taken receipt of or dispatched are correct.

Logistics Manager

May play several roles in a company. Is always responsible for people and organising shipments of products to customers and related organisational activities. This role is also frequently linked to the management of processes and people taking care of the warehouse, forwarding companies, etc.

Logistics Specialist

He/She makes sure that the correct goods are in the correct place at the correct time, in the correct quantity, in the correct quality and at the correct cost. Communication between the supplier and the customers is fundamental for correct planning of deliveries.

Logistics Supervisor

The position of Logistics Supervisor may be of various scope. This is a managerial position and therefore, one element is management of a team. The supervisor may be responsible for a specific area of logistics, e. g. transport, storage, stock planning, or may head multiple departments. Depending on the organisation of a company, this employee is in contact with customers or suppliers and also actively communicates across the company.

Operative Buyer

Primarily handles the operative part of purchasing within the company. Monitors the volume of stock and acquires manufacturing material as well as consumable items or spare parts, servicing, etc., in cooperation with manufacturing planners.

Purchasing/Procurement Manager

The Purchasing Manager’s responsibilities may differ depending on the size of the company – from the role of strategic buyer to a manager managing a team of buyers. This always concerns setting key indicators, communication with key suppliers and the management of processes and people from the supply aspect of the logistics chain.

Purchasing Specialist

The main role of the position in the company is to find new suppliers and identify savings in purchasing. A Purchasing Specialist is responsible for creating inquiries and tenders, or tenders for suppliers; is often the main contact in solving non-standard situations.

Strategic Buyer

A Strategic Buyer monitors the provision of supplies of a strategic nature in the field of machines, lines, raw materials and materials.The holder of this position manages inquiries and oversees compliance with the contractual terms and conditions.

Supply Chain Manager

Manager of the logistics flow within and outside the company. Within the company he/she is mainly responsible for conceptual solutions for individual parties in the supplier chain, methodological management of people and communication with Plant Managers and other top managers, particularly with the Financial Director and the Sales Director.

Transport Coordinator

Proposes and plans routes for drivers, handles orders for and delivery of goods, communicates with drivers, with the warehouse, the customer and with in-house departments.

Transport Manager

Manages a department specialising purely in transportation flows in relation to the company. This may concern an independent carrier (third party) or an in-house carrier. The manager is responsible for management of team members, making sure that individual actions are correct, and for the configuration of processes.

Truck driver

These workers are responsible for driving trucks and for handling and distributing goods/material within the Czech Republic or abroad. A group C or E driver’s licence and valid professional driver’s permit are required. Requirements for this position usually include flexibility and shift work.

Warehouse Manager

Is responsible for managing operations and people within the company’s storage facilities. Cooperates with production when making tactical decisions from the aspect of planning capacities. In smaller companies a person in this position manages warehouse workers, in larger companies he/she manages warehouse managers.

Warehouseman

Responsible for activities related to storage of goods and handling material/goods. Keeps the relevant warehouse records and checks that the material/goods being taken receipt of or dispatched are correct.

Warehouse Supervisor

Works in the warehouse and is responsible for managing some storage locations. Makes operative decisions in relation to the entrusted area (shifts) and is responsible for adhering to safety measures, the distribution of work and creating attendance records, etc.

Transport dispatcher

Transport dispatcher is responsible for the provision and management of transport, including planning the appropriate route and utilization of individual vehicles. He/she cooperates with drivers, warehouses, and other departments of the company, solves any problems, communicates with customers, and monitors the delivery of goods. He/she also takes care of selecting appropriate carriers, maintaining business relationships, and preparing documents for the shipment of goods.
